**UPDATE: APT RENTED

I am moving to Miami on May 31 and will be vacating my room in a 3BR (2BR conv) apartment, 24 hour doorman building on 57th Street and Lexington. My roommates are re-signing the lease for another year, which will begin on June 1. The rent is currently $1400 for my portion, and will be going down to $1275 for the next year. The apartment is on the 8th floor of an elevator building, fully renovated when we moved in last June, everything is still in phenomenal condition. There are washers/dryers in the building.

One roommate is a 27 year old female who works in the financial industry. My other roommate is a 27 year old male working in the online marketing space. Apartment is furnished, and if interested, the furniture in my room is available for purchase. Otherwise, each piece will be going up for sale individually.

Move in date will be June 1 and you’ll be able to sign a 1-year sub lease with my roommate. Upon agreement, you’ll need to pay 1st months rent + security deposit of $1400 ($2675 total). Email Cory at coryclair@gmail.com if you are interested in the apt.

I am moving to San Diego next week and have two months left on my lease, which ends July 1st. I live in a walk-up on 31st and 3rd Avenue. Unit is really nice. All new floors, walls, kitchen, bathroom, etc. There’s a washer/dryer in the unit which is pretty awesome. Roommate is a 24 year old male. He works 8am-8pm M-F. He will be traveling a lot in June, so you won’t see him much on the weekends either. I pay $1500/mo in rent but am offering it up for a bit under two months for $1500 total – so I guess ~ $750/mo. Move in date is a bit flexible if you want to move in a few days earlier or a week or two later. Would be unfurnished (there is a futon you could sleep on), but if you were interested in purchasing my furniture and bringing it to your next place, we could work something out. You could also take over the lease after July 1 if you want, and I am sure you’d get the place even cheaper than what we pay. Akawelle was created by Lovetta Conto, a 16 year old girl from Liberia, West Africa and fled to Ghana as a refugee with her father when she was young because of a civil war in her country. All the proceeds from her necklaces are donated to the Strong Heart Foundation to build a home and school for others in the refugee camp.
