Virgin Airline Tickets For Sale

February 25th, 2010

Help my friend out!

I bought this ticket for LA last summer and wasn’t able to use it. It’s perfectly fine but I have no use in it anymore and just want to make some money back. You don’t have to fly to LA, it can be anywhere, and any time. I just have to sell it before I lose it.

The amount is worth $334.20 and I will sell it for $250.

If you go to https://www.virginamerica.com/va/home.do and see a flight you wanna take, let me know! We can arrange something. Email me at rebeccajmeyers@gmail.com.

Murality- Mission Trip To Sderot

September 19th, 2009

Non-profit organization, “Artists 4 Israel” is a community of creative individuals working together in ongoing collaborative projects expressing Israel’s right to exist in peace and security.

We have been asked by the Mayor of Sderot, a small town in Israel only ten city blocks away from the Gaza Strip to come give life to their town though mural painting and teach art to their children. We will be painting bomb shelters, bus stops, playgrounds and broken down buildings. Sderot is providing ten artists lodging and food for our stay there but we are still looking to raise money for the travel expenses and paint supplies for this mission.
Murality Sderot
Help us raise the rest of the funds for this trip. We are taking all kinds of donations. Any donation of $500 or more is a tax write off as we are a non-profit organization. For more information on the mission trip to Sderot and to donate go to: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/artists4israel/american-graffiti-artists-go-to-sderot-to-battle-t

GPS found 3rd fave city in US-CHICAGO!

August 10th, 2009

I just returned to NYC from a wonderful weekend in Chicago. It was my first time there and it is definitely my 3rd favorite city in the US (#1 NYC, #2 SanFran). Spent three days at Lollapalooza (http://www.lollapalooza.com/) with rain/mud for day one and scorching heat day 2/3 but we had an absolute blast. Some of the music highlights were: Kings of Leon, YeahYeahYeahs, The Killers, Santigold, Snoop Dogg and Fleet Foxes among others. Some great photos from Lollapalooza can be seen here: http://www.spin.com/gallery/best-lollapalooza-2009-live

We spent a day wandering around the city. Took a boat tour of the Chicago architecture (http://www.shorelinesightseeing.com/) which was informative and got some great photos. We went to the Museum of Contemporary Photography (http://www.mocp.org/) and I discovered a new photographer that I am very interested in, Curtis Mann. We walked around Millennium Park (http://www.millenniumpark.org/) -saw The Bean, their summer-stage like venue where a band was rehearsing, The Cancer Survivors Garden and much more. It was a perfect day.

People have been raving about Chicago for years, and I understand why! Some of my photo highlights:
